Shankill Radio was designed in 1997 to support community based media and creative communication in the Greater Shankill area of West Belfast. To enable us to support these needs, we deliver 2 x 28 day community driven broadcasts each year in June/July and again at Christmas.

Our broadcasting studio based at 250a Shankill Road, had a face-lift in August 2004 with state of the art equipment which is housed in a fully soundproof studio. This has assisted in the development of our training packages which we offer anyone who requires it.

Shankill Radio offers a unique service in our community which will allow access in the arts to our beneficiaries who come from an area of social and economic deprivation. It provides support through arts based workshops, guidance, work placements and mentoring and offers a friendly, flexible and supportive environment at neighbourhood level.
